This is a Facebook group of Latin-speaking people to provide positive support for autistic adults and to help them obtain diagnosis and hands-on support from other autistics. Latinos are sorely underrepresented in the autism community in the United States so if you are one of them or know one of them who needs support, this … Continue reading [RESOURCE] LiGA-Asperger 7

Very exciting news about one of the great nonprofits we support - the NonPareil Institute. This great studio strives to supply better futures for adults with autism by giving them skills in technology and the tools to make games and apps so they can enjoy an independent future doing things they love! I can relate to this. I am an autistic and have an autistic son, and when my wife first looked for help from an autism organization that I will not name, they offered condolences and were “sorry” for her. She was mortified. My sister was also treated like a burden by many since she … Continue reading Overcoming Autism Stigma

I have shared this before on Facebook, but this video dispels some negative myths around autism. Highly recommended viewing that clears up some things by talking to #actuallyautistic people.
This TEDTalk is fascinating. This #actuallyautistic scholar discusses the importance of neurodivergent and neurotypical people living in harmony and realizing each other's strengths and uniqueness. Sounds a lot like what we try to do at Chiptunes 4 Autism.
